Dr. Ratan Sengupta

## The founder’s story.

Dr. Ratan Sengupta is an internationally acclaimed trainer & consultant in the field of Management Consulting & Electronics Manufacturing Technology. He has 39+ years of experience diverse fields like electronics reliability & testing, consuting and training.

Born in Ranchi, he completed his M.Sc (Hons) in Physics & Electronics in 1976. He then joined the University as a lecturer of Physics & Electronics. He continued at the University for 10 years during which he completed his Ph.D in Electronics System Design.

He joined Government of India in 1986 & was posted in Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (ERTL), Mumbai. He was instrumental in setting up the lab. During his time at ERTL, he was posted in three countries (Germany, Ireland & England) for various trainings & assignments, thereby gaining international exposure. He was also a part of prestigious projects like INSAT-2B as well as Agni 1.

He was also a visiting faculty to IIT Bombay, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai & Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York for teaching subjects like Reliability Engineering, ESD Control & Quality Management Systems.

In 2000, he took as VRS & founded DRSGA based on his vast & varied experience. Over the years, he has been principal consultant to various companies like Wipro, L&T, APC, Siemens, ICICI Bank, Hiranandani Group, Breach Kandy Hospital, Wockhardt, Naval Materials Reseach Laboratory (DRDO) and many others. He was also a key member of the pilot projects initialed by the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), GoI for Quality Improvement in district level hospitals. He was instrumental in helping the 1st District Level Hospital in the country achieve ISO 9001 Certification. He considers this project to be to be one of his most significant achievement because of the direct impact that it has had on so many peoples’ life. He has also trained over 10,000 people from industries in India, Bangladesh, UAE, Singapore & USA.

Through DRSGA Dr. Sengupta is committed to setting up an example of a knowledge based enterprise in India & adding value to his clients.

Under his guidance and able support by his fellow consultants and other staff, Dr. Sengupta & Associates was adjudged as most 10 promising Consultants in ISO and NABH by Silicon Magazine, Bangalore, in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
